BETTER THAN WOOD...
Tyroc is an innovative floor cover that will give you a comfortable and healthy basement floor.
It has taken a good idea and made it better by substituting a waferboard/OSB surface board
for a dimensionally stable, inorganic, magnesium oxide based board. Without getting too
techinical, you are replacing wood with a material that doesn't swell or attract mould and mildew. A panel of waferboard/OSB can increase by more than a 1/4" when submerged in water for a 24 hour period.
EASIER TO INSTALL...
Tyroc is easier to carry yet still covers more square footage per panel with its intelligent 16" x 48" dimensions. It uses a lap joint as opposed to a tongue and groove system, making installtion considerably quicker and easier. Due to the flexible nature of Tyroc it adjust to uneven floors without the need of shims which are required by more rigid waferboard/OSB products. Tyroc does not need to be acclimatized for any period of time.

Tyroc is non-toxic and mould and mildew resistant.
MAGNESIUM OXIDE PRODUCTS...
Magnesium Oxide based boards, like Tyrocs surface board, are considered to be environmentally friendly products. They consist of natural materials with no toxic additives. They contain no VOC's, silica, formaldehyde or asbestos. 100% post-industrious waste is recycled back into the manufacturing of Tyrocs surface board helping to make up the 27% total of recycled material used.
TYROCS MOISTURE BARRIER...
Most subfloor systems use a high density polyethylene membrene. Polyethylene is the same material used to make plastic shopping bags. Rather than contribute to the manufacturing of this non-biodegradable material, Tyroc uses a membrane composed from 100% recycled material. The result is an environmentally friendly approach that yields a membrane that is completely moisture, mould and mildew resistant.
Every 500 square feet of Tyroc used keeps 11.5 Tires and over 6800 water bottle out of landfill.
